Ghana Showcases at ECOWAS @50 Trade & Investment Forum in Lagos

The High Commissioner of Ghana to Nigeria, H.E. Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, participated in the opening ceremony of the ECOWAS International Trade and Investment Forum and Exhibition (ECOTIFE 2025), held in Lagos under the theme “From Vision to Prosperity – 50 Years of Deepening Trade, Driving Investment, Delivering Growth.”

The forum brought together Ministers, senior officials, investors, and private sector leaders from across West Africa to discuss ways of enhancing regional trade, industrialisation, and sustainable investment. Panelists underscored the need for deeper collaboration under the AfCFTA framework and greater support for SMEs, women, and youth-led enterprises.

Following the opening, H.E. Baba Jamal toured the exhibition grounds and inspected Ghana’s Pavilion, where Ghanaian entrepreneurs and exhibitors displayed a variety of innovative products and creative works highlighting the country’s investment and export potential.

In his interactions, the High Commissioner encouraged the exhibitors to continue leveraging such platforms to build networks, attract investors, and expand their market reach within the ECOWAS sub-region and beyond.

Ghana’s active participation reaffirms its commitment to regional integration and trade-driven prosperity.
