The High Commissioner of Ghana to Abuja, H.E Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, on Monday 10th November 2025, and other staff of the Ghana High Commission joined the inaugural flight of United Nigeria Airline on its Abuja-Accra-Abuja route. The Abuja-Accra route holds immense economic and strategic importance for both countries, particularly as it introduces healthy competition, greater convenience, and more affordable access for business travelers, students, tourists, and government officials alike.
This new air link also comes at an opportune time. As Africa works toward deeper economic integration through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), whose Secretariat is proudly hosted in Accra, an improved connectivity between key African cities is an imperative.
United Nigeria Airline also proudly announced that the aircraft to ply this route has been named after the former President of Ghana Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings of blessed memory.
