The Head of Mission, H.E. Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, today received Hon. Justice Edward Amoako Asante, immediate past President of the ECOWAS Court of Justice, during a courtesy call at the Chancery.

Justice Asante’s visit was to formally welcome H.E. Ahmed to Abuja, in keeping with long-standing Ghanaian tradition and diplomatic custom.

H.E. Ahmed expressed appreciation for the warm gesture and congratulated Hon. Justice Asante on his recent election to the UN Human Rights Council’s Advisory Committee, commending his remarkable contribution to regional jurisprudence and international human-rights advocacy.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two distinguished personalities to exchange views on matters of national and regional interest.
