On Friday, 6th March 2026, the Ghana High Commission in Abuja commemorated the 69th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Ghana with a reception held at the chancery at 6:00 p.m. The event formed part of the global celebrations marking Ghana’s independence from colonial rule on 6th March 1957. The event which was held under the theme, “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope”, was well attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the ECOWAS Commission, officials from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, members of the Ghanaian community resident in Nigeria, as well as representatives from the business community and other distinguished guests. 🇬🇭
