VISIT BY THE NARCOTICS CONTROL COMMISSION DELEGATION TO THE NATIONAL DRUG LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) of Ghana paid a benchmarking visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) of Nigeria on Tuesday, 5th May, 2026. The visit formed part of a wider benchmarking visit spanning from 4th to 7th May, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and learning best practices.

The  Head of the NACOC delegation, led by Brig. Gen. Maxwell Obuba Mantey,  Director-General of NACOC, accompanied by members from the Ghana High Commission, paid a courtesy call on the Chairman/CEO of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), CON, OFR, at the Headquarters of the NDLEA.

The visit culminated in the signing of an MoU on bilateral cooperation between the heads of the two Agencies, signed by Brig. Gen. Maxwell Obuba Mantey and Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa. Both delegations expressed optimism that such open engagement would strengthen institutional capacity and enhance cooperation, noting that the signing of the MoU was expected to translate into a more robust and results-driven partnership between the sister agencies.
